Tonya Ward - Independent Saddle Fitter
My main objective is to improve the performance of horse and rider.
A good saddle fitter is an integral part of a team delivering success. I have a wonderful customer base which includes everyday riders, young riders, juniors, professional riders and para riders in Dressage, Show jumping and Eventing.
I am based in Salisbury Wiltshire, covering most counties in the south and south-west of England including Dorset, Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Hampshire, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.
I carry a large selection of top saddle brands, with many different tree shapes, sizes and specifications in stock for horse and rider to try. These saddles offer many options in flap length/projection, block size, block position, block shape that finding perfect rider balance is truly achievable.
For new enquires please complete and return my Saddle fit appointment form. When appropriate and possible, I will combine customer visits to reduce travel costs.
An appointment will begin with an evaluation of your horse’s conformation and musculature. I will then take templates and photographs, maintaining detailed records throughout the process.
I will conduct thorough gait analysis to refine my fitting approach. I specialise in
unusual back conformation through to horses recovering from surgery such as post kissing spine operations, offering tailored remedial solutions. I often work in conjunction with trainers, veterinarians and physiotherapists.
All new saddles are delivered by me to ensure best fit and test ridden to confirm balance, comfort and overall suitability for horse and rider.
As an approved retailer for a selected range of leading saddle manufacturers, I have access to the latest research and development in saddle technology. I am an approved retailer of the new Prestige AS-X range for dressage and show jumping.
