About Tonya
I started riding at the age of 4 and have been riding all my life. I have produced my own horses and evented to BE Novice.
Early in my career I had a very saddle sensitive horse, I learned how difficult it can be to find the right saddle. Although my horse was not a particularly awkward shape, he simply would not “go” in anything I tried.
After many visits he chose his saddle, an Amerigo it was something about the panels and tree structure that worked for him. It is that ethos I continue with today and why I believe that riders should try different brands and offer their horse the opportunity to give feedback.
As an event rider, competing in the three phases of dressage, show jumping and cross country, I understand the importance of a saddle that not only fits the horse, but one that the rider feels balanced and secure in. I ride in all of my saddle brands and can give first hand advice on how they perform and feel.

I have trained with all the brands I stock and have a full understanding of the ranges available. Having trained with Peter Menet of Amerigo, Carsten Engelke and Filippo Rancati of Prestige Italia I have gained invaluable experience. I attend regular CPD courses in order to keep my knowledge up to date on the latest research and development in saddle technology and horse welfare.
I can often be found at the trade shows and horse events such as Spoga in Cologne and British Eventing horse trials.
